Wow, I haven't blogged since like forever...you know what, I've got too much to say if I update this time. Thousands of things happened since my last update because I went to the cottage with the guys for 3 days followed by going on a cruise for a whole week in the caribbean! I took over a hundred pictures on the cruise, so I'm going to post the URL for them once I make a site for all of them. Instead of me blogging a 20 page essay, just ask me if you want some stories.

Aight, that's all for now.

Haven't blogger for a while...

Let's pretend that it's still Saturday (when I actually started blogging, but never finished).

"Z is for xylaphone!"
Kudos to Serena! Way to know your alphabet.

As you can see, it was just another day with my crazy friends. Spent pretty much the whole day at Milliken Park and then at Kitty's house along with about 20 other people.

My day started out pretty dull, as I had to wake up relatively early for my driving lesson. So I woke up at 8:30am, day-dreaming, then contemplating. "To sleep, to eat, or to play computer?" It took me half an hour to finally decide that I wanted to play computer...half an hour where I could've caught up on half an hour more of sleep. So I got up, did my usual 10 minute thing in the bathroom, then jumped into the seat in front of my computer that's been downloading music files over night. Yay...I downloaded, um, 1 file in 6 hours. Stupid Kazaa!

Driving lessons came along. I actually drove pretty well today, made many smarter decisions at intersections and my lane-changing and turns were much better. Instead, though, I kept running through stop signs today! For example, there was a straight street with two stop signs along the way, and I was looking at the further one and didn't notice the one coming, so I drove right through it! Then my instructor started to go crazy on me because I just ran through a stop sign, and then I was too busy looking back at the stop sign I drove by and went right through the second one too! Damn I'm good. There were many other occasions where I rolled way past the stop sign for some reason...I guess I just suck at using the breaks, and I wasn't very awake either. Slept kind of late the night before (or morning, rather), and woke up early. I also worked on back-in parking today, and I am terrible at it. I can pretty much get the car into the space without completely mutilating the cars beside it, but I am always too close to one side, and when I try to fix it, I always somehow end up even closer! Ew, that will probably where I fail; that and the part where I hit a pedestrian because I can never see them.

In the afternoon, I went to Kitty's barbeque at Milliken Park. "It's pretty close to last year's site!" Yeah, close - close as in the other side of the park. It didn't help that I had to carry my stereo all the way across the field in the hot weather. The day was moving kind of slow as most of us were too tired to do any real recreation, but we were all fine with just sitting around and chilling. I was pretty full when I got there because I had lunch before I went, so it just made me want to move less after eating that half of a hotdog. Ugh. This part of the day started to piss me off; I had brought my stereo because they had asked me to so they could have some music to listen to, and I didn't mind bringing it and even purchasing $12 worth of batteries just to serve this purpose. What really pissed me off was that people kept complaining about the music that was playing...I told them over and over again that they could play around with it and turn on whatever music they wanted, but we still ended up listening to my CD's anyways. Okay, I even told people they might not like my music, but they just played it anyways, and then complained, and didn't bother to change it. You know what? Fuck you. First of all, don't criticize my taste in music just because you don't like it, because nobody fucking cares about your opinion. If you don't like it, just change it, otherwise, just shut the fuck up. I just won't bring my stereo next time if you people are just going to be asses about it. Some people were actually enjoying my music, so don't ruin it for everybody by being an ass. Geez. I wasn't too happy for the rest of the barbeque, just pretty much pissed, but I wouldn't ruin it for everyone by complaining or showing how pissed I was.

A bunch of us headed down to Kitty's house to watch a movie afterwards. Some of us stopped by to pick up a movie at Blockbuster, but we circled the place once and couldn't find one quickly, so we stopped by at my house to pick up around 30 dvds, and would let the people there choose. Hell, we didn't even end up watching any of them, and saw one of Kitty's dvd's: Lethal Weapon 4. I've seen the movie before, so it wasn't too exciting, but I was alright with it. We had about 20 people crammed into a really small room with a television that was placed off center in the room. It was really, really, hot and started to smell a little odd, but i got used to it soon enough. There were 4 fans turned on in the room, and I hogged one to myself, hehe. Anyways, watched the movie, came home with half of a pie (somehow), finished the pie, played computer, and slept.

Sunday...
Driving lessons...again...ugh, I'm not doing another paragraph about driving. Pretty much the same deal I guess. I still suck at parking, I still can't see pedestrians, but my overall driving technique is getting better, so it's all good.

Went to the mall with the guys to pick up a gift for Liz. We looked at Animal Kingdom first, but some of the things were just too expensive, so we looked at The Body Shop: the easiest place to shop for girls! Terence wimped out and stayed outside though...I don't understand why people can't stand the smell of that place, I think it smells really nice! We were looking at a gift basket of Oceanus, but all girls have or had Oceanus in their collection of perfumes and scented accessories before, so it wouldn't be very exciting. The other guys had never even heard of Oceanus, which I found rather amusing, since it's like one of the most common products at the Body Shop! Anyways, we ended up buying a gift basket of White Musk, which smells pretty nice too, but the scent has a little more body to it, yet much lighter in texture. That's my comment on Body Shop products!

Terence got a gift at Animal Kingdom, and then we headed to Hallmark to purchase two cards. We went through almost all of the funny cards, and could only choose one that seemed witty enough, and we still needed another one since we had two gifts. Time to turn on the creativity! So now we moved on to looking at more serious cards, and we came across the section with love cards...now it wouldn't really be appropriate if just one of us gave her a card like that, so we purchased the cards, and when we got back to Terence's hosue, we crossed out some of the words so that it said that we all collectively loved her...interesting, eh? Anyways, I tried writing "To: Liz" in fancy handwriting on the envelopes, but my handwriting looked really retarded, so Terence added in some comments on the envelope about how the rest of them were sorry that my writing was so hideous! Oh well, that's why I don't handwrite.

Later on we went to Liz's birthday dinner, which was Korean barbeque. I think I had too much fun here, haha. There were so many stupid things that we did that night, but that's what made it so much fun. How about that beef fried rice? That was just so wrong, haha; made such a mess on the grill! Then there was the part where everybody took the beef from the grill while I was talking, and I was left with nothing (bastards!). Of course, I found it absolutely hilarious when Mok put some pork on the grill to cook, and when he wasn't looking, I pushed it all into the water on the side, muahaha! I must say, the hilight of that night was when I went to the other table, where me and Mok took some rice and chicken wings and made a smily face on the grill! Ah that was just so much fun, now I wouldn't mind going back this time!

Today...

I don't want to say much about today, because it was pretty boring, and I'm getting tired. I pretty much played computer, got a haircut, and bought glowsticks. I'll fill in the details maybe when I get back.

Thought of the day:

It's the thought that counts.

IRC of the day:

Sebo: uno glove?
pr0t0typ3: dont patronize me

Haha, I wasn't there during this conversation. Aight, that's all for now.

Sigh...Friday night, another week just completely obliviated from the rest of my life...another night alone. All my friends have gone out to see the new movie Swat, but I couldn't join them because I had piano lessons. Oh well, I'll just find other people to see it some other time; I'm a little too tired for a movie today anyways. I guess I'll just reflect on today, as usual...

So my camp volunteering career at Ryerson Day Camp has finally ended, after 4 years of service. I could volunteer again next year, but that would be completely pointless and be wasting my time; if I can't find a good summer job in time, I might consider being a councillor there for two months though. My councillor did suggest against that idea though, because it was just too stressful at points and wouldn't be worth it since I lived so far away. Ah well, that camp has been lots of fun and has brought many fond memories to summers past.

After a week of grueling work and relentless complaints and bickering, I have finally made it, and have done quite a successful job at it too. I believe when being a volunteer at a camp like this, it's important that the kids see you more than just another supervisor, but rather a good friend and even an idol; the reason I believe I have achieved this is because the campers are actually disappointed that I'm not returning next week. Part of me does want to return just to chill with the cute little devils, but I know there will also be some trouble makers that will cause a lot of stress on me, and I really don't need that, especially in the few pieces of summer that I have left after summer school.

Today went by a little smoother than the past days, but I've had better days at camp. We started out with a game of soccer baseball, which was a lot of fun because the kids didn't have much to debate about in the plays and everybody was enjoying it. Next was swimming...same deal as usual everyday, just spent my time chatting and playing cards. Basketball was next, and there was pretty much no complaining because we let them just shoot around for an hour. So far so good.

Then there was lacrosse. Now I'm not a big fan of lacrosse, and I personally think it's way too dangerous for these little monsters to be playing a sport where the sticks were just a bit shorter than themselves. Nobody was too keen on playing lacrosse either, except Julien and Josh, who I personally thought shouldn't even be allowed to play this event because of their violent nature. But okay, whatever. My councillor let Julien explain to the rest of the group how the game was played, and a short drill was set up. It was pretty stupid, and slow, and boring, but whatever, I'll just let them do the stupid drill. After the drill, we split off into teams, and some people already started sitting out because they didn't want to play lacrosse, and I didn't blame them. I didn't want to play either, but I was pretty much forced to since they were short on players. So I ended up being goalie (why do they always want me to play goalie? I suck at goalie in every sport!), and there is a problem with being goalie in a game of lacrosse when there is no padding or proper equipment. Personally I'm not going to try and get in front of the ball when they try to whip it into the net; if it happens to hit me, I can endure the pain, but I don't care enough about the game to get injured for it. There was also another problem with the game; there's not much teamwork involved, especially when you have miniature sport jockies like Julien who think they are all that when they can carry the ball in the lacrosse stick around the whole court, believing that they are skilled in that sense. Fortunately, I was quite a bit bigger and stronger than him, so I could just run up to him and whack the ball out of his stick, but there were still times he could run under me, being the little bugger that he was. Lacrosse lasted for about 20 minutes (tops), and too many people just started sitting out, so the game pretty much stopped. Most people just sat on the bleachers chatting, others were running around on the court throwing the whiffle balls around with the lacrosse sticks and just playing around. I was having fun doing this too, but my mood completely flipped when Julien thought it would be funny to start whipping balls at me, and that's when I totally lost all my patience with him. I started out at a normal tone, but he just kept on talking back, and I slowly raised my voice until I was an inch from his face, yelling louder than I have all week! Damn that felt good, and I surprised my councillor a bit, especially since I technically wasn't allowed to do that, but what the hell, that kid was pissing me off. My councillor knows me well enough to understand my intentions though, so he didn't mind if I yelled at Julien; many councillors and ALL the volunteers were already fed up with him anyways. I hate to be a real ass about bad-talking this kid all the time, but he's just been pissing me off the whole week. The hour of lacrosse finally ended and lunch came around.

Lunch passed by with almost no interruptions on my part (almost), which was quite a relief since I had a minor headache coming over from the last event. We played cards the whole time pretty much, and somehow we (5 volunteers) ended up getting the exact same lunch from the cafe: rice chicken soup. The hour passed by quickly, and at the end we started flicking M&M's at each other...the package didn't belong to any of us; in fact, we found it on the table before we came into the lunch area. Anyways, I got a pretty bad bruise on my finger when Emmy flicked one really hard at me, so I got her back by hurting one of her fingers in return...I'm so bad, hehe.

At the end of each week of RDC, there's always a camp-wide event. This week the event was a large circular board game where people stood on spaces and rolled a die to move to certain spots. Basically, there were 5 different kinds of spots, and each team needed to land on each colour and try to answer the question in that category correctly or perform a simple sports skill through a little side activity. The event idea was pretty good, but the part where they had to perform sports skills was stupid, and really annoying. Now, as volunteers, we have to assist in running the camp-wide event help set it up and all, but it was kind of difficult when the head councillor wouldn't explain the event to us and we were confused as to what we were supposed to do. The instructions were to set up small sports activities around the perimeter of the gym that would challenge a certain skill...okay, but what is the objective? We didn't know, and she wouldn't explain the rest of the whole event either. So each volunteer set up a short stupid activity around the gym...shooting a soccer ball, throwing a frisbee, throwing a bean bag, etc. There were 6 activities, that's the main point right now. The main councillor (Terry) later on told us that we needed to make more activities because we weren't allowed to reuse the activities that the campers tried already. So now 4 of us had to brainstorm (1 volunteer left the premises already, and the other was being a lazy ass), and we had to quickly come up with a short acitivty that would be quick and suitable to the ability of the campers at all ages. So we started getting out some equipment and trying to make small activities and testing them...that's when the councillors started yelling at us, assuming we were just playing around. Like honestly, what the fucking hell! We were trying to come up with stupid activities for their stupid camp-wide event that they didn't even tell us about ahead of time, and we were getting in trouble. So we stopped doing the testing, and we had to continue brainstorming activities, so I suggested that they could do keep-ups with a soccer ball. We started just trying if even we could do like 3 keep-ups, and we weren't even making a lot of noise...4 volunteers playing keep-ups while they were supposed to be brain-storming? Nope. We get yelled at again. At this point I was really close to just extending my middle finger at Terry and walking out, but that just wasn't my nature. We did come up with other activities in the end like knocking down a pylon with a ball and skipping with a dodgeball between their feet. These activities were just getting stupider, but we really stopped caring. The event finally ended as one team finally got all 5 sections on the giant game area. Time to clean up! Fuck.

The end of the day was coming.

Err...just a sec...I'm going to sleep right now...

Anyways, as I was saying, the end of the day was coming. We pretty much just went to our old groups and did last minute check-ups, make sure everybody had everything and was ready to go. This is the part I love: when they found that I wasn't coming back next week, two of them just grabbed onto my leg and said "Nooo!" Oh man, those kids are just so adorable! I was having so much fun with these young'ens. It was finally the end...walking out the front gate...probably for the last time for a long while.

It kind of sucks that I won't get to have that kind of fun anymore. I don't think anybody has ever really known me to be that fond of those little monsters, but I really enjoy taking care of them and playing with them because they're so cute and it's satisfying to know that they look up to me positively. Despite the fun though, it can be quite a headache at times, and nowadays I don't think I can afford many of those especially since I'm so unhealthy already.

The little Korean girl didn't go to camp that day, and I was like "Aww..." So I started playing with the kids in the even younger group. There's these two little girls that are just soooo adorable it's hilarious! I could put one in front of me, and we'd have a staring contest, and they'd just look at you with an expression that kind of says "I'm not even trying." It's so funny when her eyes start to look around but her head is doesn't move because it's a staring contest. Then the other girl loves to come up to me and lightly punch me or kick me, and then I'd try to grab her arm or leg but she'd move back just out of reach; these kids were so playful, I loved it! Then there's the little guys that try to climb on top of me when I'm sitting on the floor, so then I'd pick up three of them (one in each arm and one on my back) and I'd get up and start spinning in circles, listening to them scream in hysterics. Ahhh!

So camp finally ended, and I got home. And when I got home, I had to leave right away for piano lessons! I don't know why I still go to lessons, it's such a waste of money because I don't really practice, and it didn't really help that day because I was so exhausted after a week of camp. I didn't play too bad though, just the usual, since I usually don't practice anyways. I picked up a new song: the piano concerto No, 2 by Rachimaninov! I wanted to pick up No, 3, which was rated as one of the most impossible songs to play ever, but that would be absolutely ludacrist since I kind of suck at piano now and I don't practice. No, 2 is hard enough as it is, I think I'll have an interesting time trying that.

Anyways, came home, had dinner, and started blogging. Short blog, eh? Took me two days =P.

Okay, so here's the thought of the day, from yesterday:

There is no heaven without hell, but I don't decide where I move forward from purgatory.

Here's the IRC of the day:

Why does each day have to be worse than the one before? What the hell compells some of these kids to act like complete retards? Questions without answers drive me insane sometimes.

Yes, today was even worse than yesterday. Not that I was bored out of my mind, but *ERGH* why do they care what team they are on or what the freaking hell the score is? Honestly, IT DOESN'T MATTER! Geez. My morning was pretty good I guess. The first activity is usually okay because the kids (particularly 2 boys) haven't had time to build up their negative energy yet. We played football, and I wasn't keeping track of score (as usual, because I don't care), and when we were finished they were yelling at each other debating who won, as if it really mattered.

Later on we had everybody in the camp together to have a soccer tournament. This was probably the funnest part of my day, even though my team came in 4th (last) place. I liked this activity the most because everybody participated! What is greater than actually getting to play with the campers rather than having to supervise them like kindergartens? In the two matches we played, our team scored one goal, which was by me when I took the ball all the way down the court by myself against a couple defenders. You should've heard the cheer from that, haha. It's so funny how in reality I suck so much at sports, but I outrun every single camper and even some of the councillors, so I can pretty much control whenever I want. I don't care too much about the winning (or losing in this case) though, because everybody just had a lot of fun! Now THAT is camp.

Lunch passed by a little smoother than yesterday as I pretty much played cards with my friend and the other 3 volunteers. There weren't as many annoying kids, so it was all good. The activities after lunch, however, were absolutely brutal! It all started out with ultimate frisbee...to start with, we just played in the gym, so there wasn't much room to run around or toss the frisbee far. The campers don't really know the real rules of the game either, so that didn't help...I don't really blame them for that though, because I didn't know most of the rules until this year. It just really sucks when the boys just pass to each other to get as far as possible, of course. Since the court was so small, they always got to the goal quickly, and the girls didn't really have a chance to play. Now at this point some of them just started walking around with the game without caring about it, but chatting about whatever. I don't care too much about that, but I felt sorry for the girls and some smaller boys who were still trying to play, but never got the frisbee because nobody would ever pass to them, and I couldn't pass to them because I was pretty much on the stronger team. There was so much arguing and bitterness about the plays and who's side got to throw after the play ended...the best feeling was saying "Hey. Shut up. Thanks." This phrase gets me so far. So eventually the frisbee game ended as the people just didn't want to play and started sitting out one by one. Rather than just having people sit around bored, I started tossing the frisbee around with Andrea and Ji Hyun. Hearing the laughter of a little girl just lit up my spirit and I started having a lot of fun and more and more people joined in with the simple frisbee tossing.

After frisbee was scooter handball. Now, handball is a really fun game; it's something that I think everybody can play fairly. Campers love to play with scooters because they roll and they're a lot of fun, but unfortunately make the whole game retarded. Not that it's a bad game, but this camp doesn't provide any funds in particular to buy new scooters. Thus, we have the jackass boys rolling around and still bickering with the scooters that roll smoothly and fast, while the crappy ones with retarded wheels are left to the smaller boys and girls. Well, the scooters aren't entirely essential in the game since the gym area we were playing was relatively small, but a good scooter just makes the game so much more fun. Of course I didn't play...I would probably break the stupid scooter, and I wasn't too fond of it anyways, never was. I was already tired from the last event because of having to deal with the stupider kids who thought they were all that, so I was just chilling on the bleachers with the councillor and the other volunteer. So now comes along Josh (one of the retards) who is complaining that Julien (the other retard) was being rough and abusive on the scooters. Being fed up with the bullshit they were causing all day, my councillor put them for time out for the rest of the day, although it was only like an hour. What confuses me was why they were complaining so much and were so eager to go and play again when they didn't like playing with each other anyways. Eventually the game of handball broke up because the other good campers didn't care too much about the game anyways and would rather push each other around on the scooters; that's fine, whatever keeps them happy. Some people just sat around and talked, others were pushing and pulling each other with ropes, I just chilled. I don't know what happened, but somehow I ended up giving Erin a piggy back ride and then later on let her on my shoulders, and I started running around in an irregular fashion, to say. I had fun doing this though, just the sound of a little girl laughing lightens my mood right away. This part of the day was the most tiring, although the most rewarding. I spent the rest of the time pretty much pulling little kids on scooters and chasing/get chased by those little monsters.

I don't think I listed a lot of the bad stuff, but those jerks that I mentioned above really ruined my day, along with a lot of other people's. I would really hate camp if it weren't for the shorter kids that lighten up my day with their little squeels when u run up from behind them, pick them up, tickle them, and spin them around in the air! I've come to a point now where the littlest kids love me and the older ones appreciate all the work I put into making things run smoothly...okay, so the second part isn't entirely true, but they start to show less attitude when I tell them to shut up and let me handle it.

Sigh...I'm so tired now, I'll just end this blog before I drone on and on and on and on and on...

Thought of the day:
Nothing is too dark to dampen the spirit from the laughter of a young girl.

IRC of the day:
Wizord: i flirted with a girl for a while

Okay, the IRC was really not funny, but nobody is saying anything today, so suck it up. Aight, that's all for now.

So, another day, another dollar. Well, not quite, but I certainly got a few more headaches to assist my already sore legs in tearing me apart. I thought yesterday was stressful, but today just got worse. My legs, however, aren't as exhausted as yesterday though, so I guess that's a temporary plus.

We got this new kid in our group; apparently he was participating in the nearby basketball camp, but couldn't handle it because it was too difficult and tiring. Personally, I think that is pretty pathetic, because even I have been able to endure a hardcore basketball camp in the past, and this kid was in relatively good shape for his age. Well anyways, this kid was like at like 5 times worse than Julien, who I found wasn't as much as a pain today. Josh (this kid), talks back, swears, pushes people, acts like an asshole in general, and has way too much negative energy for that age. He has honestly made my day a living hell, and it made me feel reeeeeeally good when I yelled at him for being stupid, several times. That, thankfully, is well within my jurisdiction! Even the other campers don't like him, but whatever.

I was finding many of the campers to always have some kind of flaws, flaws that made my life miserable in some degree while supervising them. Don't get me wrong; I love to work with those little monsters, but sometimes they just really tick me off. But then there were some campers that were really nice, followed instructions, and didn't speak out inappropriate things at the worst times. I found the perfect camper in a cute little Korean girl who must've been around 8 years old (I'm not a pedophile you homos), and I think she was the perfect camper because she was always (well, almost always) enthusiastic about playing the activities, was absolutely adorable and sweet, and didn't speak out. Ever. In fact, she hardly ever said anything because she doesn't know English as well and speaks in Korean with her brother, who is in the same group and is more or less of the same character of his sister. When we were playing hockey, her helmet didn't fit on her head because she had two small ponytails that got in the way, but she still kept on trying to get it on, and in the end played with the bottom strap loose because it wouldn't go all the way around. During that time, people started to drop out of the game because they were bored, but she just kept on playing, even until she was the last girl there! Not what I would expect from a shy girl like her, but a fine example of enthusiasm for the game.

I didn't do much running today again, but that's simply because it would be too dangerous or unfair if I participated in some of the events. I played a few games of stones (which is capture the flag, except with several flags or stones as they would refer them to), and some of the campers were complaining that I was too fast. Well duh, I'm only at least like 7 or 8 years older than you! I usually can't brag about being fast (because I'm not), but I ran down and caught almost every person I chased. Despite that, my team still lost almost every game because everybody on my team was so chicken to run out of the safe areas, so there was like nobody to retrieve the opposing stones. My team sucked, but whatever, it's just a game. The only other real exercise I got was probably from chasing around the smaller campers for at least a solid half an hour. Now this was where being a volunteer was fun, because I could run around, pick up, and tickle the smaller kids because they loved the thrill of the chase and the attention. Of course, there were the consequences because if I was allowed to chase them around and call them little monsters, then they would find some way to get me back...so my hair got a few (thousands of) tossles and it was really funny to see the snow storm winding out the top of my head, and my hair was no longer a solid fortress of needles, and neither will it be for long tomorrow, as they warned. They're so evil! But so adorable, hehe. I guess it does sound kind of wrong if I told you that I was chasing around a 8(?) year old girl, but it was fun.

Lunch time was absolutely retarded as I had to get up about 7 times to assist kids to go to the bathroom, or to take them to the vending machines, or the cafeteria, etc. Honestly, I don't mind doing it, as long as you do your business quickly and you don't waste my time by acting like a complete retard. Simple, eh? So I took the same two kids(from yesterday) to the bathroom again, and they didn't really spend much time there, but then they wanted me to take them to the vending machines! So ok, whatever, just take them, let them buy their stuff, and I could go back to playing cards with my friends. So we get to the vending machines, and one of the boys has a penny (wow...) and the other has a loonie. The problem is, these vending machines sold at $1.25 per candy, unless they were going for a pop, which isn't as popular or favourable to a 6 year old. With only a dollar, that kid decided that he wanted to search for more money! He gets on the floor (like, on his stomach and chin on the floor), and snaked all over the place trying to find money...he even went through some of the venting areas! I kept yelling at him to stop, but naturally he wouldn't listen. So when I thought the situation was getting too disgusting and out-of-hand, I picked him up, gripped onto his arm and dragged him back to the cafe. His other friend just followed along casually. Anyways, later he comes back to me and shows that he has enough money to go to the vending machine, so I think "Okay, this time he has money and he won't waste my time searching for money." We get to the vending machine, and he puts in his money; his friend was trying to help him make suggestions, but then he presses the cancel/change button and gets back his money and says "Haha, I didn't really want anything! I fooled you!" He starts looking for money again! Not taking any more crap from this kid, I take his arm and drag him all the way back into the cafe without stopping. That was probably the worst event that happened during lunch, but the fact that so I had to make so many other excursions with other kids really pissed me off, and the other girl volunteers weren't doing anything since they were eating lunch still. Buh. In the end, one of them (the cutest one, teehee!) did one trip with some kid and then I felt bad that I sent away that kid and she had to deal with him. Whatever, I had had enough crap during this lunch period.

I screwed up my torso pretty bad today because I was sitting on the floor cross-legged playing cards for more than half an hour, so I couldn't walk properly for a few hours. During this period I had to limp around, but I guess that was fine, it wasn't terrible. By the way, I'm doing this blog from a friends house right now because I'm sleeping over here for the night. This short blog is taking me a while longer than I expected because this keyboard's 6-key pad next to the number pad is totally retarded, and I usually use it a lot.

My legs are getting pretty cramped now, so I should go stretch them. There's no IRC of the day today because I don't have it here...so here's a thought of the day:

"Young white males are the most retarded pieces of crap I've ever dealt with."

I don't mean that entirely, but you get the picture. Aight, that's all for now.

Oh man, my legs are so sore and tired. Today was my first day back to summer camp volunteering. I've been doing it for like 3 years already, but it's always so painful at the beginning. I didn't even do that much running around and exercise, but the stress that some of the kids put me under is absolutely insane! At one point in the day I started to get a bit of a twitch in my left eye, but it eventually went away.

I woke up at around 5:30am this morning because my dad wanted to get downtown early to get a good breakfast. The idea was that we would leave the house before 7:00am. Typically, I would hear my alarm and slam the snooze button whenever, but today I woke up to my alarm and actually looked at it. *Ugh, 5:30am (after doing some math because my alarm is 20 minutes ahead)* So I went back to sleep. This started happening until around quarter after 6 for every 10 minutes, until I finally decided to sleep through it. Thus my dad had to wake me up in the end, despite the fact that I had already tried waking up myself. So I got up, brushed my teeth, etc. I came upon a dilemma! Would the kids think I'm cooler if I spiked my hair, or if I wore a hat backwards? It was a little grey outside, so I decided I'd save my hat for a brighter day and I geled (gelled?) my hair.

After my breakfast of bacon and eggs downtown, I ventured into the camp grounds where they weren't really expecting me and my existance there wouldn't have made any real difference considering we had 5 other volunteers there. There was still another hour before camp actually started, so I chilled with the few arriving campers and my friend in the gym for the next while. At around half an hour before camp started, the other volunteers started arriving. Three chinese girls walked in, and my friend told me that they were the other volunteers, and I just said "mmHmmmm...". So that's pretty much how my day started.

In total there were 6 volunteers, me, my friend Derek, some younger guy I remember Ishan, and the three girls: Emmy, Jennifer, and Andrea. This was a short week, so there weren't many campers. Consequently, there weren't many groups; 3 to be exact. I was hoping that I could be working with Group 1, the youngest group, simply because they were the most obediant, I've always worked with the youngest group in the past, and they were just cute and fun to play with. My second choice would be to work with Group 3 because they were still kind of obediant and at that stage where they might be too cool to act like dumbasses, although there are still the exceptions. Just my luck, me and one of the girls, Andrea, got stuck with group 2. The thing about the middle group is that the boys are at a point where they really just want to run around, act crazy, and worst of all, challenge authority. Now in my position, I do have some authority, but I don't know all the camp rules still and I don't have the jurisdiction to beat the living crap out of them. Fortunately, the kids weren't too bad overall, there was just this one kid. Julien, whom I remember from last year, is like the craziest kid I've ever seen; I have honestly never seen a human being with that much energy, and he is really loud when he's talking or screaming (which is often), and he is so freaking disobediant! Ugh I wanted just pick up that kid and throw him down the staircase, but again, I don't have that kind of jurisdiction.

So the first activity after the camp introductions was dodgeball. Perfect. Doctor dodgeball, pretty standard game, was set up for the young'ens and they played and yelled for a good while. I would've played too, but remembering last year, that would have been horribly unfair for the other team. After two games of docter dodgeball, we started a game of elimination (which is basically free-for-all dodgeball), and this is where I decided to join in. Typically people don't win in elimination because there are just so many people playing, and the game usually just lasts until whenever the councillor wants to stop it...but I won, haha. I knocked down all 14 campers in a row. You might think this was inhumane, but it felt so great to just pick up those foam balls, whip it at a camper, and say "Down!". Damn that was fun.

The next activity was pool. I'm not a big fan of the swimming activities because it takes so much effort to get changed and all, so I just sat in the bleachers playing cards with Andrea. My legs started to get major cramps from this, but I could last. Next was basketball, but not everybody was too keen on playing a full game, so we just let them throw the balls around. Thus I sat out another activity and just sat around listening to my MD and chatting with Andrea. I was so hungry now, but I didn't have anything to eat, until I discovered my unfinished bag of jelly bellies! Most of them were still good, except the ones that tasted like cardboard probably because they've been sitting on the store shelf for so long.

So lunch finally came; went outside with my friend to purchase hot dogs and drinks from a vender outside Sam's. When we got back to the cafeteria where all the other campers were, we sat around a table and played cards with the girls. It kinda sucked that we had 5 people here, so it took us a while to decide on an appropriate game to play. Partway through, two kids asked me to take them to the bathroom, so I'm like "Alright, whatever." Take them, they do their business, and then they seem to like the idea of stuffing some toilet paper into the blow dryer. I mean honestly, what the fuck are these kids on? They were trying really hard to stuff it in, but I eventually tugged them hard and kicked them out the door. Then one of them decided to try and make a phone call to his mother at the payphone while the other one was tossing skittles down the hall. ARGH!! You stupid kids! Once again I kicked them through the doorway and into the cafeteria, leaving the end of my troubles temporarily. My friend had already warned me that that kid asked to go to the bathroom like every hour; however, he lied. The kid asked me to take him to bathroom again 10 minutes later! So I sent him to another volunteer to bug (sorry Jennifer =P). Lunch finally ended! Eventually.

Drama was next. This was getting really stupid when the kids wanted to play Mafia, which I personally think is one of the most retarded games ever thought up of. But whatever keeps them preoccupied for an hour worked for me. After two games of Mafia, they started playing literally the most retarded game ever...Darkness Tag! So in other words, tag, in pitch black. Honestly, who the hell comes up with these games? So I spent that period trying to avoid getting stepped on. After changing the game to be played using crab-walking, the hour was finally over and we moved onto golf! Golf is new to the activity list this year, and I think there was a good reason why it wasn't there. Golf is a sport that is in the greatest interest for the older generation simply because it consists plainly of hitting a ball off a tee. Period. Now, we were playing in the gym, so there was no actual objective other than try to piss off the volunteers (or more primarily, me) to the greatest degree, which they did easily, I'm not even going to explain how, but they manage it.

Finally, the end of the day came, I found out the girl volunteers were in Gr9 going into Gr10 (mhm...) and I got 2 MSN addresses (mHMmmm...!). Took transit home and rested my tired legs. Started blogging, this has taken me about 4 hours to type up, including all the in-between breaks of counterstrike, dinner, chatting, etc. I've strained my arm to an even greater degree by trying to scoop a bowl of icecream. I honestly think I put more effort into my blogs than my homework, oh well.

IRC of the day (I'm tired so I'll just put the last thing mentioned):

Zzz...I'm still pretty tired, even after ten hours of sleep (yeah, I know. TEN hours of sleep!!!). Woke up around lunch time, so rather than skipping breakfast, I skipped lunch, which would explain why I was so hungry all day. The earlier part of my day was pretty simple...played computer and chatted with friends. The good thing about the morning was that I played at about 80% efficiency the whole time! Not that you care.

Went to Lo's house later and watched Bad Boys 2. The movie itself was pretty awesome, but the quality was absolutely terrible, but that's what happens when you rip it off the Internet. I got kind of dizzy from watching it and began to daydream a bit during the movie, so some of the parts didn't seem as funny or exciting as it should of, but the parts I did laugh at were hilarious, hehe. After the movie we watched Lo play counterstrike for a bit and then went home.

I had an amazing dinner today. We went to Braised Bull, which is a shabby looking steakhouse on McCowan in the middle of nowhere. On the outside, the restaurant looks like a place where you'd get a simple and crappy $15 dollar dinner. The interior design proved to be a little better, but still nothing too special. When the menu came, we were like "Woah." because the prices were quite steep. In the end we ordered a $70 platter and a $24 fish. So the food was really expensive, but when the food came, it tasted absolutely heavenly!

The appetizer was a reasonable sized bowl of mussels with garlic sauce; the mussels themselves were kind of tiny, but the sauce and julienned veggies made the whole thing taste so good. The 14 oz steak was small when it was split between two people, but that was one of the juiciest and tender steaks I have ever had...man, I can just tastes the sweet red juices right now! The lobster tail had the meat pulled out already and it was diced and cooked with some veggies and sauce, creating this delictable little mixture of flavour that just melted in my mouth...*drools*. I only had 1 rib and we had to pack up the rest of the ribs because we were so full, but that 1 rib I had tasted so sweet with the tangy sauce and the meat so nice and tender, but not so soft that it lopped right off the bone which kind of sucks sometimes. The swordfish was suprisingly amazingly good; the fillet looked a little dry and bland, but when I put it in my mouth it just exploded with this great grilled fish flavour and it was still moist and soft! Ah, that was such a good dinner, although it costed us a lot; approximately $40 per person, and we had 3 people!

I should really sleep soon, I've got summer camp volunteering tomorrow at Ryerson Day Camp downtown and I have to wake up early.

I had an interesting thought today...it would be a lot of fun if I could take a sniper rifle, hide in a bush somewhere and start killing people. Weird and perhaps inhumane thought, but that would be so much fun...it's just like a video game! Except kind of illegal, but oh well, I can't afford a sniper rifle anyways.

Here's the IRC of the day:
Blanche: 5 years.

Whooo, I am so tired today. I only got like 3 hours of sleep because I was up 'till 4am this morning talking to one of my summer school friends and had to wake up early for driving lessons. It's amazing how we could chat for over 4 straight hours and still agree that we've covered like very little conversation-wise, haha. Oh well, I like run-on conversations anyways.

So I went driving for the first time in two weeks, and to say the least, I am a terrible driver. My instructor makes me kind of indecisive when I drive with him because he accuses and lectures me whenever I make a bad decision at an intersection or if I break a rule that everybody breaks anyways. Anyways, I just get really ticked off at some points during the lesson, but whatever. Just keep on driving, let the lesson end. Interestingly enough, I went driving with my mom to peachtree plaza where we met up with dad to have lunch, and my driving was pretty good; didn't seem stressful or anything, just normal. So I'm guessing it's not really a matter of my actual driving skill, it's the instructor! But whatever.

I spent the rest of the day at home. I tried not to play too much computer, or sit by the computer even because my neck, arms, and right hand were starting to cramp a bit. I swear I'm going to get arthritis at like 30! Oh well, maybe all the tension will go away during my cruise to the Caribbean (again...)! Ugh I'm just so exhausted today...
IRC of the day (didn't really bother looking for a good one...):

Okay, now I'm officially done school. No more worrying about waking up early...until next week when I volunteer for camp. The last day of school was pretty stupid. The idea was that classes would take up the exam so that there weren't any discreptancies and discuss marks for 2 hours. Nobody wanted to take up the exam, and we had already did a basic overview on what was handed in and stuff, so we were pretty much done everything by 9:00am. Most people started leaving at around 9:15, but I sat around and chatted with some of the girls until they kicked us out at 10:30. I was having a good time too, chatting about marks and other random things, and now the teacher is going to treat us to lunch sometimes at the end of the month, yay! Anyways, my final mark was 92, which wasn't the highest...argh oh well, Jadie worked hard for the 94, and I think Irene got 93 as well. I feel bad for the one person who failed...but he kind of deserved it because he didn't really do any work during the year.

So I went to see American Wedding today at First Markham. To say the least, it his fricken HILARIOUS! Oh man, there were so many things in that movie that were just so dirty and wrong haha. I don't think I'll ruin it for anybody for anybody who reads this blog and hasn't seen it yet. If you haven't seen it, GO SEE IT NOW! Oh man, that's such a great movie, haha.

Later we went to the driving range. When the others said they were terrible at golf, well, they weren't lying. Most of us were having trouble enough just launching it past the first mud line (ummm, Grace? haha keep on trying) which was only like 10 feet away from the grass pad! Of course I wasn't much of a golfer myself, but I did manage to launch about 10 balls past 150 yards, and another dozen around 100 yards, so I'm satisfied! The good-old pitching wedge is still my favourite club. What really ticks me off is that I can't really hit the ball straight; majority of the time it just flies off to the right somewhere, which wouldn't be very useful on the course.

After that we headed down to Pizza Hut for dinner where I ate way too much pizza. Three large pizzas that all specialized in meat...mmmmMMMM! Can't get enough of that meat. I was completely stuffed by the end though, and I took home the 2 leftover slices of meat lovers that I'm going to eat later tonight!

Okay, there are lots of other things I want to talk about, but I'm getting pretty tired. So Here's the IRC of the day:
o_O: mok=use garnier fructis
o_O: yaya!
