So what's with my life going nowhere. It feels like everyday is just a drag, and seems pointless beyong belief. I grow tired of my surroundings and wish to be with the one I'm thinking about. But that would be hard to sort out of the thousand things that are going through my mind. I want to just somehow fulfill my dreams and curiosities, but I can't even take the next step in life. It's like I'm just stuck, wandering through life aimlessly, never getting anywhere.

Perhaps it sounds a little perplexing, but all of this relates back to one thing in my life. Nobody understands. Okay, some people might understand.

Aight, that's all for now...

AHHH!!! I HATE VIRUSES!!!!!

Argh, I'm sure most of you have encountered the ICQ bug that's been spreading around, or have at least received several messages with the link in it. Stupid bug screwed up my ICQ, and now I'm using stupid 2003b pro ICQ. The worst part is that ICQ Plus doesn't recognize it, so I can't put my anime girl ICQ skin!!! Waaaaah..... =*(

On the upside, I'm done my rough copy for my English ISP!!! Wheee!!! And my english teacher actually likes it too, although he recommended that I mention something about the books in there, which is actually the whole point of the essay, and so my essay has followed almost none of the criteria. Oh well, as long as it's a good essay =).

I'm so tired! Missing so much school because of music and all, and also losing a lot of sleep...sleep...sleep... Church Street Swing Machine got gold at Jazz Festival! According to what I've heard, we were one of the only jazz bands that achieved gold, so that just shows what stupid organ builders know about jazz! Yeah, that's right, you can go FUCK yourself you loser!

Yeah, I'm not in a good mood. I have so much on my mind, and so little I can do about it.

Aight, that's all for now.

GIFTIES VS CHINESE RESULTS

Team Gifties - 52
Joyce Chau - 8 points
Gwun-Yee Chin - 4 points
Peter Holder - 10 points
Jason Maehara - 4 points
Chris Wang - 6 points
Sunny Yau - 8 points
Shaun Zafar - 12 points

Team Chinese - 52
Tommy Chan - 20 points
Steven Ching - 2 points
Bryan Chung - 12 points
Joey Huang - 2 points
Frank Hung - 2 points
Ricky Lai - 4 points
Jack Leung - 10 points
Henry Lo - 0 points

TIE GAME 52 - 52 !!!

My opinion on the players...

Joyce Chau - Leading scorer for more than half of the game, and she had to sit out for about 3 quarters of it! Joyce > everybody else? Perhaps =)
Gwun-Yee Chun - Hahaha...nice playing man.
Peter Holder - Stuff 'nuff?! Geez, and he definitely got the most rebounds in the game.
Jason Maehara - Tried to charge a couple times, but couldn't get in without being fouled by like 3 guys, haha. Got hurt at the end, but awesome overall.
Chris Wang - Air ball! Haha, but you stole the ball so many times, so energetic, playing like a monkey around the net!
Sunny Yau - Quite stylish, really energetic, he got some really nice jump shots in.
Shaun Zafar - Aggressive, you scored some really awesome points when you charged through 4 guys like that! Funny just to watch you play, haha.

Tommy Chan - Dude, crazy lay-ups. Ball-hogging a bit, but you definitely made up for it in your points.
Steven Ching - Uhh, the only guy I didn't know kinda. Looked funny in those pants.
Bryan Chung - Scored lots of points, got a hell of a lot of rebounds.
Joey Huang - Energetic and aggressive, good playing.
Frank Hung - YOU HURT JOYCE'S EYE YOU BASTARD! I WILL KILLLLL YOU!
Ricky Lai - Didn't get as many shots in, but sank two really nice jump shots though.
Jack Leung - Scored lots of points, got a hell of a lot of rebounds.
Henry Lo - Umm, good try man...

Chinese were winning by about 8 points early on in the game, but halfway through Gifties scored 16 points consecutive, followed by many more points and had a lead of about 14 points at one point. The game was getting closer and closer as the seconds were ticking towards the end, until it resulted in a tie! Good game to all those played.

Aight, that's all for now.

DECA WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!

Finally, a good day after an absolute CRAP weekend. Let's see if I can just sum up some random events today...

Let's see, nothing particularly interesting at the immediate arrival, except that we were clogged in a sea of brown and asian people and shortly crowded in a line that resembled the traffic jam on the way to the Sheraton Centre. Everybody's event was pretty much first thing in the morning, and me and Lo's event was at 1:50pm, so we had like 4 1/2 hours to waste before we had to go. Essentially, me and Lo had breakfast and then waited for Jay and Gwun to finish their session, and then we went shopping!

I got to meat one of Diana's friends Alvin (or Elvin? I don't know...) today, and he is almost exactly the same as any of the gifted guys in our grade. To be blunt, when he was pretending to hit on me, I was kind of used to it because we're so stupid and gay all the time, haha. Funny guy, he wore a really bad dress shirt and his blazer wasn't much to flatter either, which made him even funnier, lol.

We were looking for Indigo for a while, but first we settled at Cole's where we looked at magazines and calendars. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition is a blatant lie to the title, because I swear half of those models aren't even wearing a swimsuit. For one picture, I was just like "Wtf?! Where's the swimsuit???" and there it was at her toes, just BARELY on her toes. Not that there's anything wrong with that though. Finding Indigo was quite a challenge as we tried going down an elevator that only went up. See, that wouldn't have happened if they listened to me the first time, but nooooo, nobody ever listens to me!

We ate at the foodcourt for lunch. Jay was taking a lot of stupid pictures as usual, and we even have a series of pictures showing Kevin eating his poutine and a paper ball being thrown at Lo's face, twice. The weirdest part was when Kevin ate something off the floor of the Eaton Center! At first it didn't really register in my mind what he just did, even while I watched him do it because he seemed to be so casual about it! A firm believer of the 5 second rule he is, and just because it landed on a magazine on the floor doesn't make it any better to eat man, geez! I guess I can't say much, because he really was that hungry. He finished his first poutine and got another. Geez.

When it was time for me and Lo to do our session on travel and tourism, we had no idea what to expect. When the case was actually presented to us, we were pretty relieved that it was something that we could handle, because the case that was presented last year seemed impossibly hard to solve as it was completely unrealistic. Anyways, we presented our solution to the case, and it went pretty smooth...I think. Then came the first question, something about cash and retail something...basically, something me or Lo have NEVER heard of before, so we were completely blank for like 30 seconds. I was completely mortified! At last I came up with some absolutely random bullshit, and Lo caught on and followed through with it. The other questions were pretty straight forward, so it went okay for the rest at least.

The final ceremony was so boring at the beginning. The juggler and other woman should be shot because they put on a really boring and pointless show that I regret wasting my time to watch when I could have been sleeping. That guy wasn't even that good at juggling, it was so lame. Then there was that other kid who was glowstringing before the ceremony started. I would've commended his guts for doing it at possibly the most inappropriate place possible, except that he sucked! Weave-weave-weave-weave, occasional wrap...wow, and it's not like he did backward weave either, although I doubted he knew how to. I usually wouldn't make such bad comments about someone else's glowstringing, but honestly, that guy was worse than me! Haha, anyways, I got a good laugh at how crappy he was.

Before the ribbon ceremony, there was a really boring and REALLY long introduction of all the big DECA people whom I didn't care about, followed by an absolutely UNNECESSARILY long video about the fight for cancer. I mean, the cause is good, but come on! The ribbon ceremony was pretty intense though when they started calling the winners of the top 10 teams in each category. And guess what, ME AND LO PLACED TOP 10!!! That was so hilarious, but I was really excited since I was really not expecting to win at all, and neither was Lo. It was really surprising too since it was after Jay and Gwun didn't place, and they actually felt mildly confidant about their presentation. Panday and Scott didn't place either, which was rather comical. The single's categories began to get unneccessarily long and boring though, and I began to fall asleep. There was some guy that was waving a really big flag in the next row every time someone from his school placed, and I REALLY felt like punching him in the face.

There weren't as many hot girls as I was expecting (or hoping, rather), but there still were some. There's this one girl whom I found particularly cute, and I passed by her twice! She looks a lot like one of the grade 9's, except she looked like she was in grade 10 or 11, which would be a little better I presume. Oooh, damn she's cute.

I'm so excited about tomorrow! I'm actually going to try on the multiple choice exam, and I hope that Lo will too. I know Lo doesn't really want to go to Tenessee, but I kind of want to go, and winning would at least be something really good to put on my resume. Maybe I'll go talk to that really cute girl tomorrow if I see her again...hopefully! Daaamnn...

Aight, that's all for now!

Okay, so I thought Valentine's Day this year wouldn't be so bad by myself. I was SO wrong. Contrary to popular belief, Valentine's Day is not like any other day, and it certainly doesn't feel like any other. Maybe I'm just being cynical, because I'm in a pretty bad mood right now.

Even though I said I would probably be spending most of my day playing PS2, I didn't really want to spend my Valentine's Day that way, and thought that I'd be spending at least some hours of the day with my friends. Nope! I ended up devoting several hours of the day to FFX2 since nobody wanted to do anything. As much as it distracted me from my grey atmosphere that clouded any sense to do anything productive, I still had to face the fact that I really was sitting around moping at home on an otherwise typical Saturday.

I wanted to do some shopping today, but I ended up deciding that it might be a little weird. That was pretty much my excuse because I felt too tired to go shopping anyways. Lack of energy hitherto lack of morale. The worst part is, I STILL NEED PANTS!!! I'll go shopping some time during the week maybe.

A lot of people apparently haven't been too happy today too. More or less for the same reasons. Others are more ignorant to the theme, probably for the better. Ignorance is bliss...I understand.

There are so many things pissing me off today. I wanted today to be fun and relaxing. I never fell into that groove.

And how's this to wrap up my ever disintegrating motivation to live.
Class 8002 -Jazz Ensemble - 20 & Under
1. Big Fish Jazz Orchestra (J. Pagnotta) - 93;
2. Church St. Swing Machine (B. Thomas) - 84

FUCK the adjudicator! No FUCKING way he docked MMBB with a 92 and then hand us an 84. He knows NOTHING about Mingus-style music. I hate the adjudicator; what a fag. ARGH!

Thursday will either make or break me.

Aight, that's all for now.

Woot, Church Street OWNED at Kiwanis jazz. Okay, not OWNED, but it was a lot of fun. Fowl Play was definitely not as tight as we could have done it, and we were rushing a bit. That's okay, because the short sax lick that none of the saxes could actually do actually sounded like a proper phrase on the recording (although we all know none of us actually executed it right =P).

Haitian Fight Song was a lot more exciting than the first song. Henry, you are absolutely crazy on the trombone, awesome solo! The sop sax solo wasn't as crazy as I wanted it to be, but I was satisfied with it, and apparently many others were too, haha. I was pretty surprised how well the recording picked up the sop sax sound when I had no mic, none directly in front of my instrument at least. The mic set-up was pretty stupid actually. They had one mic designated just for me, but it was right above me, and pointed straight at my face, which was kind of intimidating really. I mean, I'm not microphone-shy, but the thing was just inches from my head, and it seemed kind of weird, and Mr.T didn't fix it for me! Oh well, I guess I didn't need it in the end anyways.

Pre-Valentine's day balloons! Veronica seemed quite shocked/amused/humoured by the balloon that Lo sent her (that's right, you heard me). Likewise, Lo got a balloon from Veronica! This could get quite interesting... Except now Lo's balloons are at my house since he's a lazy butt. Thanks Mok for the balloon, I love it! As for things I did for pre-valentine's day...a rose, some balloons, etc.. mhm!

I HATE Judge Judy. And I HATE the fact that my parents love that show. I don't understand how they can like it. Judge Judy herself is fine, she's got some sense in her. It's those stupid people that come to court that REALLY drive me insane! Why are they so stupi-pi-pi-pi-pid?!!? Ahhh, I can't take it! And I have to sit there and watch that stupid freaking show at dinner like EVERY night because we eat in front of the TV at 6pm EVERY night, and I sit there absolutely silent, trying to supress my urge to pick up the controller and throw it through the TV screen, and then somehow mute my parents with the mute button on the remote because sometimes they just say the dumbest things when they're trying to talk to me about Judge Judy, and I just don't give a fuck! I can't stand that show. It can burn in hell.

Aight, that's all for now.

Valentine's Day is coming! Woot! Well, almost woot...
Once again, the annual decision of whether I'm going to do anything, and if so, for whom? I don't know...Okay, I lied. I know who I would do it for, but you don't! This year seems to be much harder to decide whether I will pull through with doing anything though. Bah, screw it!

Friday won't be all at a loss though. Last year, Valentine's day was kind of ruined because of Kiwanis Jazz, but this year I'm kind of glad it landed on this day (despite the fact it's not really Valentine's day). At least I won't have to think about anything of that concern, and Church Street is going to PWN at Kiwanis!...again. It's going to be fun, so it's all good.

So then comes Saturday, the real Valentine's day, where I can see myself planted in front of my TV playing PS2 for a few hours, then maybe chilling with some friends for the rest of the night. Actually, I think I need to shop for pants, so maybe I'll go do that too. I hope somebody reminds me that I need pants. I need shirts too. Looks like I'll be seeing some credit card action on saturday, if I remember.

Oh, and I did do something for Friday already. I got a balloon for Canny. They didn't have brown balloons, so I think I settled for pink or something. I guess brown isn't too popular during Valentine's.

Aight, that's all for now.

I think it's time for an update.

Well, I got my exams back. Some good, some bad...

Course - Exam - Before - After - Change

Data - 85 - 86 - 88 - +2
Music - 87 - 94 - 92 - -2
Music - 89 - 93 - 92 - -1
Accounting - 89 - 84 - 85 - +1
Algeo - 77 - 85 - 83 - -2
Computers - 79 - 80 - 80 - 0
Calculus - 88 - God only knows - 81 - +4? +5?
English - 79 - 84 - 83 - -1

So overall... +2 -2 -1 +1 -2 + 0 +4 -1 =... +1?

Essentially, like no change in my average, but it did drop in the marks that I was certain would go up...oh well.

Top 6 + 2 music = 87.17%
Top 6 + 1 music = 85.33%
Overall = 85.5%

Sheesh, my overall is better than my realistic top 6. That's the trademark of an ultimately crappy report card. But I DID barely make the cut off, thus far. Hopefully I'll bring up that average like 1 or 2%, so it should be okay. Phew!

Still, my parents are going to FREAK when they see my report card... ><

Aight, that's all for now.
