Me, Gwun, Lo, and Jason decided to cook a little dinner a couple days ago. We ended up cooking penne with a ground beef & tomato sauce, and then baking it with cheese in the oven for a bit. It was pretty good, but could've used more sauce. I'm too lazy to describe it more, I should post pictures soon. Anyways, that same night we started playing mahjong, and we had to change the CD.
Jason: "Alright guys, you guys wanna listen to Britney Spears?"
Gwun: "Yes."
Me: "Yes."
Lo: "Yes."
And we said it consecutively in order around the table, creating a very awkward silence afterwards. Oh, good times. Good times like tonight, while me Jason and Terence had midnight McDonald's and ate it along the drive-through curb through the spitting weather. Good meal.
However, times like me nearly driving over a rabbit today probably aren't so good. I swear I thought it was a plastic bag! It's a good thing I stopped a bit so that the plastic bag, I mean rabbit, ran away. Stupid rabbit.
Deep thought of the day: Live everyday like it's your last, because you won't get it back.
Aight, that's all for now.

Let's see, this was my intended schedule for yesterday...
5:00pm - Depart Markham and head down to Scarborough Town Center
5:20-5:30pm - Arrive at Scarborough Town Center and start heading downtown via subway
5:45-6:00pm - Arrive at Queen St East and start walking to the festival
6:00-7:00pm - Be at a restaurant and have dinner
7:00-10:00pm - Tour the festival
10:00-11:00pm - Going home, dropping off people etc.
Now, let's see what actually happened...
5:00pm - Depart my house, my car at least
5:30pm - Arrive at Scarborough Town Center
5:45pm - Everybody else arrives at Scarborough Town Center
6:30pm - Taking the subway finally arrive at Queen St East at the Eaton Center
6:30-8:30pm - WALKING to the festival
8:30-10:00pm - Eat dinner at Lick's along the sidewalk and enjoy some of the festival
10:00-12:00pm - Going home
So as you can see, the schedule was a little off. Along with some of the original planning, but that wasn't that bad. If we had left the subway at the Woodbine station rather than going all the way down to the Queen station it wouldn't have been such a long brutal walk. Despite the disgusting walk, I was actually satisfied with the music at the festival. We heard essentially only one band play, but they were absolutely wicked! I feel kind of bad for the others who might not be so into jazz as me, but I felt the long journey to be worth it, kinda. At least there was something that I could really appreciate. I ended the night with a brisk jog with Sean to the subway station while the other's bussed (lazy butts =P). I'm not as tired as I would've expected today, but I also got a rare 11 hours of sleep.
Deep thought of the day: Let the music heal your soul, let the music take control.
Aight, that's all for now.

A monochrome is a picture or design consisting of 1 colour.
Now pretend you are painting a monochrome. When you want to add dynamics, you change the shade of the colour and keep on painting. If you get a sporadic idea, you change your style and texture, even if it defies all other patterns you've already painted. Since you're painting a monochrome, regardless of how drastically you change the shade, the picture is essentially the same colour.
That's life. No matter what you do or how you act, you are always you and that just can't be changed. If you try to change your act and how you appeal to others, you're are just modifying you. The more you try and twist away from your 'normal' personality, the more distorted but rather dynamic that your life will be. It will certainly be different, but whether other people will shy to it is completely variable. And irrelevent. See, you only change the way your life is when you feel that it's dissatisfactory to others. You begin to try living a life that isn't your own, but in the end, everybody sees the reality that you are simply just you. You can't escape who you are, and until you learn to appreciate who you are, nobody else will learn to appreciate it either since you're always trying to change it.
Several years later, when you look back at all the splashes of shades on your life, it will appear as a beautiful piece of art. It is the milestone of your ups and downs that you painted under your own will, the experiences, the lessons learned. Then you try to find the other end of the page as you watch it stretch into the horizon, a blank slate that looks into the unseen future. It's not likely to be the exact same shade as today, but we'll see about that.
Deep thought of the day: You can't avoid being yourself.

So I finally got a job. Well it's not an actual paying job, but it's work none-the-less. I'm now a volunteer at the Physiotherapy Clinic at the Markham/Stouffville Health Center until whenever I guess. My assistance isn't absolutely needed, but I presume it would be helpful to have a nobody like me doing miscellaneous chores around the place.
The interview for the job was interesting. It lasted half an hour, which was a lot longer than I anticipated. To be honest, I was debating on how dressed up I would need to be for this interview because it was just a volunteering job, but I'm glad I went with a nice dress shirt and khakis like I would for a paying job interview. Within that 30 minutes, I must of reiterated so much bull over and over again because I can't really recall any constructive parts of my speech, but I still got the job. The only question I could recall was something along the lines of "So is there any reason why you want to volunteer specifically for physiotherapy?" at which point I decided to be totally honest and said something along the liens of "Uhh, well...Look, I know nothing about physiotherapy, but I'm looking for any sort of job or volunteering service to pass the time this summer, okay?!" That's actually really close to the exact wording.
So now I work about 24 hours a week, the hours aren't bad, and I got weekends+monday free.
Deep thought of the day: I'm painting a monochrome with a beginners acrylic paint set.
Aight, that's all for now.

Ah, back to the old blog...
So. It's almost halfway through July and I'm still jobless! Word. I actually got an interview with Tim Horton's at hwy7 and 9th line. At least it was kind of an interview, since the manager decided not to show up. The supervisor subbed in and apparently interviewed me in that period that I filled in ANOTHER application form (yes, the exact same one that I filled in 5 times previously) and I answered maybe 2 questions. What kind of manager doesn't show up for an interview?! That's absolutely ridiculous! Lazy and irresponsible I say! The supervisor told me that the manager would call back to set up a 2nd interview. Unfortunately, I wasn't getting a call for a 2nd interview, so I started making my own calls. So many times I tried and the manager was never in! And finally, when I get hold of the manager on the phone, she tells me that I'm not getting the job! Apparently she isn't looking for people that won't be continuing in September. OKAY, I CLEARLY INDICATED IN MY COVER LETTER THAT I WOULD ONLY BE WORKING FOR SUMMER! Why did they call me in the first place?! I think these employers REALLY need to read stuff when they receive resumes and applications. I mean, at least read the ones you're considering and don't waste my fucking time! Geez.
On the other hand, my computer got some kind of bug and fucked up Windows, so I had to reformat my C: and now my computer settings are a little whack. I can't really put my finger on it, but the general settings just don't seem the same. Something's wrong...Oh well.
Deep thought of the day: Listerine is proven to be as effective as flossing!
Aight, that's all for now!

Canada day was fun. The fireworks weren't that good though. Like, the fireworks they used were nice and pretty n all, but there just wasn't enough variety. I guess a wider variety would just cost more money. Eh, whatever. They most annoying thing about the fireworks, however, was that they kept going on and off and on and off in these random intervals, which was pretty bad. After the 3rd run, we were already beginning to pack and go home, when suddenly there was a 4th run, and a 5th, and even a 6th! Stupid retarded people don't know how to run a good fireworks show, it was just annoying as hell.
Kitty's barbeque this year was better than last year's I'd say. I can't say much about the actual barbequed foods considering I only ate 2 hamburger without condements since I was determined to stay planted in my lawn chair. It actually worked for about 2 and half hours until Jodi smeared coconut cream all over my face, at which point I nearly poured a bottle of water over her head and white shirt (but I didn't, since I'm such a nice guy =P). So I planted myself back in the lawn chair, still determined to stay there, but then Bryan comes along and dumps two bottles of icy cold water all over me, soaking me all the way through (alllll the way, yes). Luckily for him, I'm not a violent nor vengeful person, so I just sat back in my chair, lol. I don't know what I had done to anybody else, but they seemed really determined to get me out of that chair! They taped my to the chair and then started pouring MORE water all over me (all over my pants to be specific), and then I see Jodi with another handful of coconut cream! I just got up and ripped right through all the tape so that she couldn't cream me again, and then sat back down. I was too wet to stay there, so I eventually had to get up and frisbee a bit.
Playing keep-ups was interesting, more interesting because we suck, a LOT. We now have labled certain styles like the Sean, which is where one would try to hit the ball with their chest or shoulder in attempt to elevate the ball, but consequently the ball just kind of rolls gently to the floor. Another style we've labled is the Ken Cheung, where one would launch the ball far out of the circle making the ball nearly impossible to keep in play, haha. S'all good guys, it was fun!
If there's one thing that really pissed me off today was people and their stupid comments about the music. Like fuck, I had this problem last year where people complained about the music, but why the fuck is it such a big deal to you people? It's absolutely ludicrous! If you don't like the music, turn it off. If you're looking through my CD wallet and you see something you don't like, well news flash, I'm sure I'd see stuff I didn't like in your CD wallet too assholes, and you know who you people are, don't even try and deny it. I'm fucking sick of hearing comments and criticism on the music I listen to, and the music that's playing. Seriously, you guys need to grow up and accept things the way they are sometimes. If you want my opinion, I wish that there was Japanese music and trance blaring out of my CD player, but it's not like I give that much of a fuck. I CAN DEAL WITH MUSIC I'M NOT FUCKING FAMILIAR WITH! Assholes.
Deep thought of the day: Life's all about balance. If you scrutinize to make yours better, you'll just be making somebody elses worse.
Aight, that's all for now.
