Oh the nostalgia! I started listening to my Maynard Ferguson CD, and the moment the first track (Coconut Champagne) hit the player, I began to miss playing in jazz band again. It's been well over a year since I last played with an actual big band, and I will probably never get to play in one again. I still have my little jazz combo down in Waterloo, but I haven't played with them all summer, and that's just not the same as playing with a big band.
Actually, it's been quite some time since I last picked up my instrument. I bet I sound like ass now, not like I didn't before. I should probably practice a bit before I head back to Waterloo for the school year.
I wish I could have another year playing jazz with the whole gang. It was fun.
Deep thought of the day: I wish I could go back in time.

I should really stop blogging at work, all my posts are coming out so bland. Work is bland. I hate waking up early. I have a rather large collection of fruitopia bottles here.
Anyways, at least I have some stuff to talk about from this weekend. So a bunch of us went to the Beaches Jazz Festival on Saturday. As planned, we got there nice and early and sat down for a nice dinner at that Thai restaurant that we oh so love now. Unfortunately, it was a hot day, and we were sitting outside, which led to a few problems. First off, there were a lot of flies. Now it's not like I care how dirty and germ-filled flies are, but it's really annoying when they just keep flying on the food or fly around my head. Second of all, Thai food usually implies curry, and curry makes the body really warm. Already halfway through dinner a bunch of us were sweating like pigs just from eating. At least the food was good and filling.
We only walked around for about half an hour in the festival before I split from the group to meet up with one of my UW friends at the harbour front. Saw a rather interesting Caberet or "talant show". Okay, let's get some things clear about a Caberet:
1) Story telling, is not a Caberet act. Or at least shouldn't be. Nobody wants to hear about a stupid story you wrote for 15 minutes.
2) Showing off your new clothing line is NOT a Caberet act. That's a fashion show you're looking for. At least the clothing was alright.
3) If you can't rap, then don't. Nuff said about that, lol.
It was a pretty fun night overall though. Oh, and I outran a bus, but oh well.
Deep thought of the day: Is there really a difference between perpetual and infinite?

Okay, the storyline is a little bit iffy I suppose, but damn, it's such a cute anime that I just couldn't stop myself from opening up the next episode each time. I'm so sad that's it's all over now though =(.
Anyways, I don't have much else to say. I need to use the bathroom actually.
And I'm back. Okay, so apparently I have some meeting coming soon, so I'll just end it here.

Okay I'm getting lazy and tired of doing this, haha. This is only really a fraction of the music I was thinking of putting down, and as you can see it's all Japanese or Korean because I decided to start with that stuff first then move onto the English stuff. But then I realized I don't remember all the Utada Hikaru songs that I like, and I don't wanna think right now, lol. Oh well, that was a good waste of 20 minutes.

Oh another exciting day at work. So I've come to the point where I always technically could have something to work on, but they really don't care too much whether I actually do it or not because the assignment was essentially designed by, well, me. Ahhhh so bored -_-;
Actually, I'm pretty concerned about my DE final coming up in about 2 weeks, considering I haven't started looking at the material ever since the midterm. Bah, I regret taking DE! I should've just taken it next term; my schedule has so much space as it is anyways.
Oh, right. Next year is going to be a blast!! 15 hours of class per week? LOL! No labs, no tutorials, no extras at all. I could even get away with doing 12 hours of class per week, both terms, while still satisfying the typical course load expected for the next year, but my parents don't think I should be so lazy. Fair enough, 15 hours of class isn't exactly going the extra mile anyways. I can't wait til September starts!
